Creation Track

• The Creation Track supports a week-long incubation period for artists wanting to make or refine dance work. 

• 8 artists/artist groups max in the Creation Track cohort.

• Yes! You may register as a group. Choose one lead artist to register, pay up front, and be the contact person for your group. Groups may have up to 5 people max total.

The Creation Track includes:

• 10+/- shared hours of rehearsal space during the week of January 6-10. (Mon: 10am-3:45pm, Tues: 10am-8pm, Wed: 10am-8pm, Thurs: 10am-8pm, Fri: 10am-5:30pm)
   

• Performance slot in a work-in-progress showcase at the Black Box Theater on January 10th. Pieces can be up to 6mins max. Proceeds from the show will go back to the performing artists!
   

• Shared promotion with a feature on the Animal Dance Instagram.

Rehearsal space: 10hrs @ $25/hr= $250 value

​​​​​REHEARSAL SPACE:

​

Participants in the Creation Track will sign up for rehearsal space on a first-come first-served basis after completing registration for the Creation Track. Each artist/group will be allowed to sign up for one slot per festival day. At times, you may be sharing space with another artist. It is required to use headphones and speak quietly when sharing space. You will be able to sign up for 10 hours +/- spread throughout the week. Space will be available for sign up within these timeframes, and spread out between the Black Box Theater and the Great Room Studio:

Monday: 10am-3:45pm
Tuesday: 10am-8pm
Wednesday: 10am-8pm
Thursday: 10am-8pm
Friday: 10am-5:30pm

TECH:
Tech will be on Friday January 10, 4-6:30pm. 

​

15 minute tech slots will be given by Wednesday January 8. It is your responsibility to show up on time for your tech slot. We are able to offer low-tech (lights on/off, sound on/off/fade). If you have multiple cues we suggest bringing a person to support your technical needs. We will train them on site.

Tech in Black Box 4-6:30pm (15 min slots per performer/group)

Green Room is open from 5:45pm on for Creation Track Showcase performers.

Call is 6:15pm for all Creation Track Showcase performers.

Doors open 6:45pm.

Show is 7pm. All CASH proceeds will go directly to the performers!
